Who We Are

Pete McElroy

Pete McElroyFOUNDER & CEO, Pete McElroy formed MidAtlantic Video Productions in 2012 after a distinguished career in television sports production. Pete began his career in radio production in his hometown of Philadelphia in 1992 before being recruited into television in 1994 at NBC affiliate WCAU-TV.

After learning the business under some of the biggest and brightest names in Philly TV sports history (Gary Papa, Scott Palmer, Al Meltzer, Ron Burke, Vai Sikahema, Howard Eksin, Neil Hartman, Leslie Gudel), he made the move to regional sports network Comcast SportsNet in 1998 as a producer.

After three years in Philadelphia, he was handpicked to build the news division of Comcast SportsNet’s newest regional network, CSN Mid-Atlantic, serving the D.C./Baltimore area. After three years as the News Director/Executive Producer, making CSN Mid-Atlantic the powerhouse it is today, Pete left to assist the launch of the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). He had an integral role in launching and producing Nats Xtra and Ravens Xtra, The John Riggins Show and the Anita Marks Show. Pete worked with famed University of Maryland play-by-play announcer Johnny Holliday and former World Series M.V.P. Ray Knight on Nats Xtra, a pre and post game show dedicated to the Washington Nationals baseball team. After one year with the dynamic duo on Nats Xtra, he became the Nationals beat writer, covering the team for MASNSports.com, writing stories and doing on-camera work. Pete’s weekly video blogs with Nationals managers Manny Acta and Jim Riggleman and OF/1B Adam Dunn were huge page-view magnets for the website.

After two seasons of covering the Nationals, Pete accepted a job with the Arizona Cardinals Football Club as Show Producer & Manager of Media. Pete wrote, shot, produced and edited the weekly feature, “The Way I See It”, a one-on-one personal interview with different players. He also produced a weekly show called “Maximum Cardinals”, a recap/preview show of the Cardinals opponents.

Missing the East Coast, Pete came home and produced The John Riggins Show and content for the Riggo44.com website before deciding to launch MidAtlantic Video Productions.
